Hay fever season and beaches open.

Since childhood I suffered strong seasonal allergies which was always called hay fever. For many years I have been on or near to the sea at this time to be removed from the strongest source.

This year our freedoms are locked down in the name of covid-19. I have experienced three weeks of strongest reaction living in nature amongst many grasses and flower pollens in particular and returned to my traditional habits, eye drops, sunglasses even during darkness, inhaler and vaseline to prevent some particles from entering nose.
I am happy to say it is subsiding now. Being able to walk near the coast and on beaches has been a blessing allowing me to breathe clean pollen free air.

It was also possible to visit a friend's farm, close to the coast and with less pollens for me.

No chance to go sailing yet as the boat is ashore in Greece and travel is uncertain but we are grateful to have the Atlantic Ocean a short distance away.

Living in lockdown - Portugese style

When we rented this place in nature for one month we did not know we would be staying longer. We have just paid for a third month as travel and social contact is limited, and the borders to Spain are closed to us. We should have returned to Spain, parked the camper then flown to Malta on 21 April but things don't happen that way.

Some early morning images.
The days have become longer and we spend up to 14 hours a day living outside. We have plenty of clear air and sunlight. There is no better way to keep healthy as the virus continues to cause so much fear. We had no cases here, but we follow the real news, not the biased and controlled mainstream media, and we know that deaths are overstated and less than flu in a normal year.
Our world has become small and ofter often silent. How wonderful to hear silence in nature.
Being outside has brought on my old hayfever problems though.

Our housemates including a praying mantis.
We go out once or twice a week for shopping to Aljezur but twice needed to go 20 km to Lagos at the request of the bank who had made some mistakes when opening an account, so we could also do larger supermarket shopping.
Lagos with sea fog.
Lagos with sun.
We have some incredible skies by day and night, and wonderful full moons.

We climbed to the hill to the west of us and could see the ocean in the distance.

To the east and very close we have found many paths to walk in nature.

At home.

Watching the outside world does not bring peace. We have gone inside to feel more balanced, and keeping energy in our hearts. We support each other and allow each other space for what we need in our transformation process. The lockdown is a great opportunity to see what we really need in life. The world is in a process of rising consciousness. We dont live in fear. Instead we observe what happens and look forward to a better world as more power, control and greed is exposed on a global and national scale. We hold ourselves in light and highest vibration, and best health.
We are grateful to be in Portugal at this time.
