Glamping in nature -Social distancing

As one country after another closes borders and locks down to minimize the spread of the pandemic corona virus we find ourselves like others with change of travel plans and uncertainty. We took residency in Portugal four months ago, thank goodness, but still need to be off-road with our camper (RV).

We were invited to rent a glamping place in nature just 6 km from the small town of Aljezur in south west Portugal.

People are allowed to shop for food and pharmacy, go to bank etc. But to keep distance from others. Beaches are out of bounds, but surfers still use them.
It is time to relax, do small jobs, practice yoga and enjoy nature.

Distancing at farmers market and only 20 customers allowed in at one time, after hand sanitizer.

In many ways it is like our normal life style, but slower and quieter.
Don't fear the situation. Make the most of this opportunity and be silent.

Look inside yourselves. Be in the heart <3 p="">

Baltazar and the waterfall at ALTE

As Corona virus speads panic across Europe and travel restrictions it is time to share something positive. We visited the charming village of Alte a few weeks ago, about 15 km inland from the Algarve coast of Portugal.

In the summer people swim in the canal.

Walking into the village in darkness we were surprised to meet Baltazar, quite a character and popular with locals and tourists alike.

The hidden secret is the waterfall which some people did not find in many visits to the village.

Thanks to friends for recommending this place. We spent a night by the cemetery  where a number of motor caravans were parked.
